"Columbus, GA — The Fort Moore Training Facility is being built to support advanced military training, and at the heart of the project is the expertise of Local 846 (Aiken, S.C.) and Suncoast Reinforcing LLC. Their skilled workforce ensures the facility’s foundation is built to last, providing the durability needed for intense training operations. The project is being carried out by skilled Local 846 ironworkers, led by Foreman Jose Ventura. The dedicated crew includes Mark Riepenoff, Brandon Jimenez, Gregorio Bautista, Ruben Barboza and Barnie Alvarado — each playing a key role in ensuring the project’s success.

With 800 tons of reinforced materials in place, Suncoast Reinforcing LLC, in partnership with Local 846’s rodbusters, has been instrumental in the precise placement of structural reinforcements. Their work guarantees the strength and stability required for mission-critical infrastructure.

The project’s success is also driven by Holcim Concrete, the customer providing top-quality materials to meet the facility’s demanding specifications. This collaboration between Holcim, Suncoast Reinforcing LLC and Local 846 highlights the importance of skilled labor and high-quality materials in military construction.

A recent site visit brought together representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Department of Defense (DOD), Special Operations personnel and Local 846’s rodbusters, recognizing the dedication and craftsmanship behind the project.

As construction progresses, the Fort Moore Training Facility is a testament to union strength, expert reinforcement and the unwavering commitment to building for those who serve.

Their hard work and expertise demonstrate the commitment of Local 846 to delivering high-quality craftsmanship."
